Middle School Color Guard at TVHS — Starts March 13th!

TVHS Golden Valley Regiment is pleased to present our annual Middle School Color Guard program.

Learn the Art of Color Guard

Get a jumpstart on your high school color guard career now and have fun doing it by learning this graceful sport! Now in our second year of offering this program to middle schoolers, color guard blends dance, athleticism, and drill.

This year’s middle school color guard program takes place over 6 sessions, two of which are extended, intensive clinics, and culminates with a performance at TVHS’s annual Middle School / High School Combined Concert on May 1st.



3/13/2018 — 3:30pm to 6:30pm — Please make sure to bring your signed paperwork and online payment receipt or a check.
3/20/2018 — 3:30pm to 6:30pm
** 3/22/2018 — 3:30pm to 5:30pm (New date and time)
3/27/2018 — (During spring break) Extended rehearsal; times to be determined
4/24/2018 — 3:30pm to 6:30pm

5/1/2018 — Final rehearsal and PERFORMANCE! during TVHS’s combined middle school / high school concert. Exact times to be announced.

What to Bring

Always bring water and your equipment once it’s been issued. On session 1, please bring your paperwork and payment receipt/check.

Dress in loose athletic clothing. If you have long hair, please pull it back in a ponytail, bun, or braid.


$80 — includes instruction, flag and pole, and t-shirt. You can register and pay online or reserve your spot by clicking the appropriate item in the purple section below.

In either case, you’ll receive the registration forms after completing “checkout.” We must have the signed permission slips in our possession before your student can participate.

Meet Our Coach

Alyssa Citero, TVHS Golden Valley Regiment Color Guard Coach

Alyssa is originally from Concord, California. Her color guard career began in 2007 with the Blue Devils C Corps performing at the age of 9. Alyssa continued her color guard career with the Blue Devils B and ending up in the 18-time world champion Drum Corps, the Blue Devils, at the age of 17.
While teaching color guard, she moved to Fresno, CA at the age of 18 for college and to teach the SJCVGPR color guard champions, Selma High School and Abraham Lincoln Middle School. She has been captain of the Blue Devils C color guard, Blue Devils B, and the Blue Devils Winter Guard programs. At the age of 20, Alyssa moved to Southern California where she attends California State University Long Beach and is continuing her education in teaching color guards.
Since 2017, Alyssa has been able to work with programs such as Rancho Cucamonga High School, Palm Desert High School, Great Oak High School, and Temecula Valley High School.
Alyssa marches Fantasia World Winter Guard from Riverside, CA. In the summer of 2018, Alyssa will age out with the Concord Blue Devils, competing alongside with some of the greatest performers in the world to uphold an undefeated world championship title.
